Alex Cora Not Concerned About Lineups
7 years agoBoston Red Sox manager Alex Cora is not concerned with the particulars of lineup construction based on splits, according to Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe. Cora is not concerned with splitting up righties and lefties and doesn’t plan to get carried away with batter/pitcher matchups if it’s a small sample. With this news, there is little concern about first baseman Hanley Ramirez, outfielder J.D Martinez and potentially even shortstop Xander Bogaerts hitting together. Also, we could potentially see outfielder Andrew Benintendi and third baseman Rafael Devers hit back-to-back as well. Regardless of how he slices it, Cora is blessed to have a dynamite offensive lineup to control. Try to own as many assets from this lineup as possible.
