Malik Willis Not "Guaranteed" A Spot In Tennessee
1 year agoAccording to longtime team reporter Jim Wyatt, Tennessee Titans quarterback Malik Willis "isn't guaranteed" a roster spot. Although talk of his departure was accentuated after the Titans selected Will Levis in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, the latest update reaffirms what many believe is inevitable. Of course, most new quarterbacks need time to develop. However, Willis showed no signs of improvement throughout his inaugural campaign. The 24-year-old appeared in eight games, amassing 276 passing yards and three interceptions. Even worse, he failed to throw a touchdown and completed only 50.8% of his attempts. It's safe to say the former Liberty Flame already has no fantasy appeal moving toward the regular season. But if Willis gets his walking papers, there won't be many clubs around the NFL looking to add him to the roster, which will cause his fantasy value to fall even lower.
