Malik Monk Inks Two-Year Deal With Kings
2 years agoThe Golden 1 Center in Sacramento might wind up feeling a bit like Rupp Arena on occasion next year. The Kings have signed free agent shooting guard Malik Monk to a two-year, $19 million deal, reuniting him with his former University of Kentucky Wildcat backcourt mate De'Aaron Fox. Monk spent the 2021-22 season with the Los Angeles Lakers and had his best NBA season to date. He averaged 13.8 points and 2.3 three-pointers per game while shooting a career-high 47.3% from the field and 39.1% from three-point range. He figures to have a significant role on the Kings next year and should be a good source of three-pointers for fantasy purposes.
