Malik Monk Comes Up Big For Charlotte Versus Knicks
6 years agoCharlotte Hornets shooting guard Malik Monk played a key role in Monday's 101-92 win over the Knicks, nailing four triples in the fourth quarter, which the Hornets won 30-21. Monk had been quiet for a while and it seems like he was heading towards another unspectacular line, but the Kentucky product came to life in the decisive minutes. He shot 4-for-7 in total from behind the arc and 5-for-12 from the field to finish with 14 points. Monk also had three assists and two rebounds in 22 minutes off the bench. The second-year guard had a strong start to the season, but he's gotten 10-plus points just 10 times since the start of last month, so don't get too excited by his Monday's efforts.
