Malik Beasley Shines Against Former Team
4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Malik Beasley had a classic revenge game against the Nuggets on Sunday, scoring a season-high 25 points on 10-for-16 shooting against the team that traded him 11 months ago. He went 3-for-5 from downtown and added seven rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks to polish off a big fantasy line. Jarrett Culver notched 20 points and D'Angelo Russell posted an 18-4-7 line, but Minnesota's frontcourt is really struggling without Karl-Anthony Towns (wrist) and thus they didn't manage to stay competitive in the game. It will likely be the same story in Tuesday's rematch between the two teams but Beasley, who has kicked off 2021 with a pair of 20-point outings, should be set up for success again.
