3 years agoIndiana Pacers point guard Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles) has been ruled out for the second half of Tuesday's contest against the Heat as he continues to battle right Achilles soreness. The ailment had Brogdon's status in question for most of the day after he missed the team's most recent outing. Prior to his departure, Brogdon played just eight minutes and finished with one point, two assists, and one rebound. With the team also down backup point guard T.J. McConnell (wrist), Brad Wanamaker and Chris Duarte are the favorites to see elevated roles off the bench, while Caris LeVert and Domantas Sabonis should take on even more playmaking opportunities. Brogdon's next chance at suiting up comes Thursday vs. Houston.--Jesse Borek

1 week agoVarun Shankar of The Washington Post reports that Washington Wizards guard Malcolm Brogdon (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Detroit Pistons. This will be his 10th straight game he's missed, thanks to a sprained left ankle. Brogdon has dealt with injuries all season long and has only been able to suit up in 24 games this season for Washington. In his absence, fantasy managers should expect Khris Middleton (rest) to continue to have an expanded role after sitting out for rest purposes on Monday against the Raptors. In the seven games since being acquired from the Bucks at the trade deadline, the veteran forward is averaging 12.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.7 steals in 24.6 minutes per outing.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller

2 weeks agoWashington Wizards guard Malcolm Brogdon (ankle) has been ruled out of Wednesday's game against the Utah Jazz. This will his seventh straight game he's missed thanks to a sprained left ankle. Brogdon has dealt with injuries all season long and has only been able to suit up in 24 games this season for Washington. In his absence expect Khris Middleton to continue in the starting lineup. Middleton has averaged 12.0 PPG and 4.2 APG as a Wizard. Against a weak Utah defense Middleton may provide some solid fantasy and DFS value to those looking to take a longer shot on him.--Kevin Larson - RotoBaller

2 weeks agoWashington Wizards guard Malcolm Brogdon (ankle) remains out on Monday night against the Miami Heat. Brogdon will miss his sixth straight game due to a sprained left ankle. The Wizards also won't have Jordan Poole (elbow), who is sidelined because of a hyperextended right elbow. As a result, Bilal Coulibaly and Bub Carrington will likely handle things in the backcourt, with the duo combining for 28 points in Saturday's loss to the Magic. Veteran Marcus Smart could also see extra minutes this evening.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller

3 weeks agoWashington Wizards guard Malcolm Brogdon (ankle) remains out on Saturday night versus Charlotte. The Wizards also won't have Jordan Poole (elbow), who is sidelined because of a hyperextended right elbow. As a result, Bilal Coulibaly and Bub Carrington will likely handle things in the backcourt, with the duo combining for 24 points in Wednesday's loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. Marcus Smart, who had 10 points, three assists, and one steal in that one, is also expected to see more action. With Alexandre Sarr (ankle) questionable, Coulibaly, Carrington, and Smart might be more productive than usual. This is also true for Khris Middleton, Corey Kispert, and Richaun Holmes.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
