Malachi Flynn Explodes For 50 Points Off Pistons Bench
8 months agoDetroit Pistons guard Malachi Flynn came out of nowhere to put up 50 points in Wednesday's 121-113 loss to Atlanta. He logged 34 minutes off the bench and became the 10th player in the NBA this season with a 50-point game by shooting 18-for-25 from the field with a 5-for-9 effort from outside. Flynn's career night included six rebounds, five assists, and three steals. This was a very special outing for Flynn, who is now the third player in NBA history to reach the 50-point plateau without starting the game. He received extra usage on the backcourt after Cade Cunningham (knee) was a late scratch on Wednesday. We could see a lot more of Flynn over the final few games of the regular season, especially with Detroit now heading into a back-to-back situation and Cunningham unlikely to play in both games.
