4 years agoKansas City Royals third baseman Maikel Franco continued his hot start to the season on Wednesday, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. He's recorded multiple hits in two of his past three games. Franco and Whit Merrifield have been the only bright spots for the struggling Royals offense so far this year. Through six games, Franco is hitting .348 with a 1.072 OPS. Franco has had a number of promising streaks during his seven-year career, but is yet to prove to be a reliable fantasy producer over a full season. Maybe the shortened season will help him, but until we see a bit more sustained success, he can remain on waivers in most leagues.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
