Maikel Franco Stars In Phillies Win

The unit was led by third baseman Maikel Franco, who drove in four of the club’s five runs. The 25-year-old first stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded after three walks. He delivered with a single to left, driving in the first two runs of the game. In the seventh, with the Phillies leading by three runs, the Dominican native drilled a two-run home run to left, putting the finishing touches on the victory. Franco’s home run was his first of the season, with the four RBI increasing his early season total to five, with a .267 average.
