Maikel Franco Crushes Home Run In Crushing Loss
Maikel Franco drilled one of three home runs for the club in Wednesday night’s game against the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park. The 25-year-old’s blast came in the first inning, a two-run blast that put the Phillies up by three. The home run was Franco’s 21st of the year, as he continues to set his sights on a career season. He finds himself just five home runs away from setting a personal best, while his .281 average is already on target to be the best he’s ever finished a season with.
