Magneuris Sierra To Play Winter Ball
6 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Magneuris Sierra has been approved to play winter ball in the Dominican Republic. Sierra, who was acquired from the Cardinals in the Marcell Ozuna trade, struggled in 147 at-bats (54) games in his first real taste of the majors this year. He hit .190/.222/.211 with no homers, seven RBI and three stolen bases. While Sierra has plenty of talent and upside, he could struggle again in 2019 as the Marlins give him even more playing time. The left-handed hitter should be monitored in dynasty and NL-only leagues for next year.
