Magneuris Sierra Reaches Base Three Times On Friday
3 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Magneuris Sierra reached base three times in Friday's loss to the New York Yankees. With Adam Duvall and Starling Marte both traded and Garrett Cooper (elbow) done for the year, there's plenty of playing time available in the Marlins outfield and Sierra could get a long look for the next two months. He went 2-for-4 with two singles and a walk, batting in the leadoff spot in the Marlins lineup. Sierra is essentially a two-tool player as a guy who runs fast and fields well, but he has no power and hasn't been a particularly great contact guy either. Still, the Marlins clearly see something in Sierra as he's been up with the big league club all season. Fantasy managers in deep mixed leagues desperate for stolen bases might take a look at Sierra for the next week or so.
