6 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner ended his July with a 2-2 record and a 3.68 ERA. After returning from a fractured hand, Bumgarner has been steadily finding his groove. His season numbers stand as follows: a 3-4 record with a 3.06 ERA to go with 51 strikeouts. All that said, the veteran might be in for a great August, if we're to follow his history. MadBum's average ERA during the month of August — spread throughout his last eight seasons — is less than 3.00. He also has two starts this August already scheduled in pitcher-friendly ballparks (Oakland Coliseum and Dodger Stadium). The Giants are having quite the disappointing year by their standards, but one thing to look forward to is how their ace continues to bounce back from injury in the second half.
