Madison Bumgarner Exits Start After Four Innings
3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner exited his start on Monday after four innings of work against the Dodgers. Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reports that Bumgarner was seen having a talk with a trainer and manager Torey Lovullo prior to his at-bat in the top of the fifth inning, as he was replaced by Caleb Smith in the bottom half of the inning. There's no word yet what — if any — injury Bumgarner could be dealing with, but he was struggling in his outing Monday, allowing two runs on two hits and four walks in four innings against the Dodgers.
