Florida Panthers defenseman MacKenzie Weegar (upper body) will miss Monday's home game against Columbus. The 27-year-old is forced to sit out his first game of the season, with Anton Stralman joining Gustav Forsling on the first defensive pairing. Weegar has been Florida's top defenseman ever since Aaron Ekblad (broken leg) was ruled out for the rest of the regular season. He's posted three goals and 25 points with a plus-17 rating this season. Thankfully for the Panthers, the Ottawa-born blueliner is listed day-to-day, so he shouldn't be out for long. Monday marks the start of a four-game week for the team.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
