MacKenzie Gore Exits Monday With Elbow Discomfort
2 years agoSan Diego Padres pitcher MacKenzie Gore (elbow) exited Monday's game early with left elbow discomfort, per the Athletic's Dennis Lin. Gore pitched 1 1/3 innings out of the bullpen in Monday's 12-4 loss to the Tigers, allowing two runs on one hit and two walks with a strikeout. Related to his elbow, Gore said, "It wasn't that one pitch, which is hopefully a good thing." He will be re-examined by doctors once the Padres return to San Diego. Things have not gone well lately for the 23-year-old rookie, who, after compiling some strong starts, has been relegated to the bullpen and now owns a 4.50 ERA over 70 IP. Fantasy managers should know more in the coming days upon Gore's return to San Diego.
