Mac Jones Starts In Preseason Win Over Green Bay
1 year agoNew England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones completed 6-of-9 pass attempts for 52 yards while rushing for four yards on one attempt in Saturday's 21-17 preseason win over the Green Bay Packers. Jones started on Saturday and led New England's offense on their first opening drive, with running back Rhamondre Stevenson finishing it off with a one-yard touchdown run. The former first-round pick was sacked twice and fumbled while getting sacked in his last appearance in the game. Bailey Zappe came in and led the second-team offense to two offensive scores. Zappe had a six-yard touchdown run and connected with Kayshon Boutte for a 42-yard touchdown strike. Despite Zappe's strong preseason play, Jones is New England's starting quarterback and will look to rebound in 2023 after a disastrous sophomore campaign. Jones is a borderline QB2 and mainly has value in superflex league formats.
