Luke Willson Set To Start For Detroit
6 years agoDetroit Lions tight end Luke Willson is listed as the starter for the season opener against the New York Jets. Willson is in his first season with the Lions after leaving the Seahawks. There are 86 targets missing since Eric Ebron wasn't re-signed, and while Willson isn’t the receiver that Ebron was, he flashed potential in Seattle. Even though the Jets defense is very suspect, they did have the ninth-ranked defense against tight ends in 2017, according to Football Outsiders. If you’re looking to save some salary cap space in DFS, Willson is one of the last options to consider and until we see his role in the offense, stay away.
