Luke Willson Poised For A Breakout Year
6 years agoDetroit Lions tight end Luke Willson finally finds himself as the top tight end on his team. Willson has spent the last few seasons in the shadows of Jimmy Graham in Seattle, but the former fifth-round pick has still had his fair share of success in the NFL. Spanning five seasons, he has caught 89 passes for 1,129 yards and 11 touchdowns. The 28-year-old now joins a Lions offense that has thrown for over 4,000 yards in each of the last seven seasons. They are also looking to fill 86 targets left behind after the team decided not to re-sign Eric Ebron. Willson's ability to block and catch could make him a vital part of the offense. While he is not even being drafted in most leagues, ranking as the TE29, his versatility could make him worthy of a late dart toss in 12 or 14 team leagues.
