Luke Willson Leaves Game With Knee Injury
6 years agoDetroit Lions tight Luke Willson was forced to leave Friday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a knee injury; he did not return. The severity of the injury is unknown, and it is possible that Detroit kept him from returning to the game as a precautionary measure. However, Willson was not targeted when he was in the game. His camp has been quiet, and he only has one reception for three yards this preseason. Willson signed with Detroit after spending five years in Seattle, and was expected to start the year as the Lions’ number one tight end; however, he has not seemed to be a big target for quarterbacks and now an injury obviously raises more questions. It is safe to say that you can avoid Willson for now until we hear more about his injury, as well as figuring out what his role in the offense may be.
