4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks pitcher Luke Weaver was replaced after three innings pitched in Friday's game against the Padres. Alex Young took over in the fourth. Weaver had 43 pitches and had surrendered two homers in the game, so it's likely that something is not quite right. It's even more fishy when considering the peculiar nature of his previous two starts, where he was lights out for the first few innings and then got shelled. The Diamondbacks local broadcast is suggesting that Weaver tweaked his back on his last pitch of the third inning, though no official word is out yet.--Tim Capurso
