3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Luke Weaver (thumb) was removed in the fourth inning of his Spring Training start on Thursday. He developed a blister on the knuckle of his right thumb. According to Diamondbacks beat writer Nick Piecoro, Weaver wasn't very concerned about the blister. The 28-year-old had a solid outing before he was removed from the game. He pitched three scoreless innings, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out three. He's slated to be one of the team's starters to open the season. Last year, he made 13 starts and went 3-6 with a 4.25 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
