Luke Voit Spotted Running On The Field On Thursday
3 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit (oblique) was seen running on the field prior to Thursday's afternoon game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Voit was diagnosed with a Grade 2 oblique strain and is expected to be sidelined for at least another 10 days or so. However, it's good news to see that he's already able to do a light workout on the field. Voit has only managed to play in 12 games so far this year. Over that 12-game stretch, he has a .182/.280/.250 slash line with one home run, three RBI and four runs. DJ LeMahieu will continue to be the team's primary first baseman while Voit is out.
