4 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit (oblique) was placed on the 10-day injured list with a Grade 2 oblique strain. Voit began feeling the injury on Saturday, per manager Aaron Boone. The slugger was able to play on Sunday and Tuesday, though the Yankees held him out of Wednesday's lineup for the since-postponed game. It's particularly tough for Voit, who missed the first month of the season rehabbing from a knee injury he suffered in spring training. New York will likely go with a combination of Mike Ford and DJ LeMahieu at first until Voit returns, which is likely several weeks away.--Tim Capurso
