Luke Voit Begins Rehab Assignment At Triple-A Scranton
4 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit (knee) will begin his rehab assignment at Triple-A Scranton on Tuesday. Voit has been taking live at-bats at the alternate site but is set to see his first game action since suffering a partially torn meniscus in the spring. The slugger seems set to join the team by mid-to-late May- May 24, per Kristie Ackert of The NY Daily News- and the Yankees sure could use his presence at first base, given that their first basemen have combined for the lowest OPS in baseball. Voit owns a .268/.366/.512 slash line with 43 homers, 113 runs, and 114 RBI in his last 174 games for the Yankees.
