Luke Musgrave Nets Three Targets With Starting Offense
1 year agoGreen Bay Packers rookie tight end Luke Musgrave caught one of three targets for eight yards during the team's 36-19 preseason victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The stat line is far from productive. However, it is important to note that the starting offense was only on the field for the opening two drives of the game, and Musgrave tied for the team lead in targets during this time alongside wide receiver Christian Watson. Quarterback Jordan Love spread the ball around pretty evenly, but the rookie tight end's positive reports out of camp carry plenty of merit after seeing his involvement during Green Bay's preseason opener. Musgrave could have a solid first year in the NFL as Love's safety blanket. We should see more of the 22-year-old against the New England Patriots next Saturday night.
