Luke Gregerson Dealing With a New Injury
7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Luke Gregerson has been dealing with a hamstring injury that has kept him from pitching in Grapefruit League games. Gregerson started out Spring Training with an oblique issue that kept him off the mound, and now he has not appeared in a game since March 20 due to the hamstring issue. While these have both been reportedly "minor" injuries, Gregerson has barely worked all spring and has seemingly fallen behind Dominic Leone in the battle for the ninth inning. The Cardinals have repeatedly said they won't necessarily name a closer before the season starts, but Leone and Tyler Lyons are looking like better options than Gregerson, at least for the first week or so of the season.
