Luke Farrell Joins The Cubs
3 years agoFree-agent right-hander Luke Farrell signed a minor league deal with the Chicago Cubs on Monday. Farrell pitched with the Cubs in 2018, posting a 5.17 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 39 strikeouts in 31 1/3 innings over 20 appearances (two starts). He spent the 2021 season with the Minnesota Twins, where he had a 4.74 ERA, a 1.66 WHIP, 25 K's and 13 walks in 24 2/3 innings over 20 appearances (one start). The 30-year-old will likely head to Triple-A Iowa and will serve as organizational relief depth for the Cubbies. Fantasy managers can continue to ignore him everywhere.
