2 years agoTexas Rangers middle-infield prospect Luisangel Acuna, who is ranked by MLB Pipeline as the organization's No. 3 prospect, has really impressed so far in 72 games (343 plate appearances) at Double-A Frisco this year. Acuna is currently slashing .315/.371/.447 with an .818 OPS, six home runs, 19 doubles, two triples, 45 RBI, 34 stolen bases and 56 runs scored for the RoughRiders. He's also batting .411 with a home run and four stolen bases during a current 13-game hitting streak. The 21-year-old has seen most of his playing time at shortstop in 2023. Acuna has a slight build at 5-foot-8, 181 pounds, but he plays bigger because of his aggressiveness. Speed is the main draw with him, and he'll need to be better against offspeed pitches to find success at the big-league level when he gets there.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
