1 year agoThe Texas Rangers traded shortstop prospect Luisangel Acuna to the New York Mets as of the blockbuster deal to acquire ace Max Scherzer. Acuna is the younger brother of Atlanta Braves star outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. According to MLB Pipeline, Acuna is MLB's No. 44 prospect. The 21-year-old is slashing .323/.384/.472 with eight home runs and 42 steals in 84 games at Double-A. Acuna will be promoted to Triple-A by the end of the year and could see a big league promotion sometime in 2024. Fantasy managers can stash Acuna in dynasty leagues, but he will likely be a non-factor in redraft formats in 2023.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
