Luis Urias Won't Make Opening Day Roster
4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers infielder Luis Urias (illness) will be assigned to the team's alternative training site in Appleton, Wisconsin, to begin the season, freelance baseball writer Robert Murray reports. The former top prospect of the Padres has an impressive minor league track record but has struggled in limited major league exposure. He was expected to have a shot at regular playing time for the Brew Crew in 2020, but that will apparently not be the case to begin the year. The Brewers seem content to proceed with Orlando Arcia as their primary option at shortstop, so Urias won't have much fantasy value unless he finds regular playing time, which could prove more difficult in the shortened 60-game season.
