Luis Urias Capitalizes At Coors Field
5 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Luis Urias enjoyed a fantastic series in Coors Field, finishing 5-for-14 with a homer, three doubles and seven runs-plus-RBI against the Colorado Rockies. The setting was certainly favorable, but Urias is scorching at the dish amidst a nine-game hitting streak, batting .400 and raising his OPS from .576 to .662. The season-long struggles for Urias make for an uninspiring stat line, but the 22-year-old is finally showing the hitting chops to support his status as the Friars No. 2 prospect. Urias has yet to develop consistent power, so he’s just a one-category fantasy asset down the stretch, but he has a bright dynasty outlook if he earns the starting second base gig in 2020.
