Luis Severino Worries Return After Loss To Mets
6 years agoThe New York Yankees may finally have to address the problems that have been affecting their ace for over a month. Luis Severino, who appeared to be back on track after a victory against the White Sox last week, lasted just four innings Monday night against the New York Mets, surrendering four runs. His first inning woes were there once again, as he allowed two runs in the game’s opening frame. After a victory against the Boston Red Sox on July 1st, Severino’s ERA dipped to 1.98 on the season. Since then, he’s won just two games and has seen his ERA climb up to 3.27. While the Yankees are still trying to remain in contention for the AL East, they would be smart to give Severino an extended break, perhaps allowing him to recover before the postseason.
