Luis Severino Solid In Rehab Start
3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino (groin) went 2 1/3 innings during a rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset on Tuesday. Severino topped out at 96 mph and collected four strikeouts while allowing two earned runs, two hits, and one walk. The 27-year-old will surely make another start or two to build his pitch count before returning to the Bronx. The two-time All-Star's return will be a big boost for the Yankees and fantasy managers, as Severino has posted two top-10 Cy Young finishes in his young career with a 3.46 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 10 K/9. The Yankees will likely ease Severino back in, so don't expect lengthy starts when he gets re-inserted into the rotation.
