Luis Severino Once Again Beats Red Sox At Home
6 years agoFeeding off a positive outing his last time out in Minnesota, New York Yankees starter Luis Severino picked up his 18th win of the season Wednesday night, taking down the Red Sox. With Boston once again looking to lock up the American League East division title, the 24-year-old went seven strong innings, allowing just one run on six hits and a walk. His eight strikeouts were the most he's recorded this month, as he looks to finally round back into form following a hellish second half of the season. This is the first time Severino has allowed one run or less in consecutive starts since late June and early July. His next start is scheduled for Monday night in Tampa Bay against the Rays.
