Luis Severino Masterful Against Marlins
7 years agoTaking on the Miami Marlins at Yankee Stadium on Monday, the New York Yankees relied on ace Luis Severino to provide stability, and the Dominican native did just that. Severino went six strong innings, conceding just one hit and one walk with no runs and eight strikeouts. The 24-year-old tossed just 86 pitches, but with the game well in hand, manager Aaron Boone opted to pull him from the game in favor of Adam Warren. The victory moves Severino’s record to 3-1, while his ERA now stands at 2.63. His next start is scheduled for Sunday against the Toronto Blue Jays in a rematch of Opening Day.
