Luis Severino Has Best Start In Months
6 years agoFor the first time in a long time, New York Yankees ace Luis Severino seemed to be his old self Wednesday night in Minnesota. Taking on the Twins, the struggling right-hander allowed just one run in 5 2/3 innings of work, his least amount of runs surrendered since July 1st. While this kind of start would usually result in a victory, the Yankees offense was nearly no-hit, only managing two hits and one run, resulting in a no-decision for Severino. Moving forward, this is the kind of start the club expects of their 23-year-old All-Star, so he'll have the last weeks of the season to prove it wasn't a fluke as the Yankees head towards the A.L. Wild Card game.
