Luis Severino Dealing With Shoulder Tightness, Set For MRI Monday
3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino (shoulder, groin) will have an MRI on Monday for his shoulder. Severino was slated to make what was likely his final rehab start with Triple-A Scranton but was scratched after he told the club "he didn't feel right" during warmups. Manager Aaron Boone said that the right-hander is dealing with shoulder tightness, though he wasn't willing to speculate on if the issue is a setback or not. Severino has already dealt with one setback, suffering a Grade 2 groin strain during a rehab outing. Severino isn't a priority stash at this point, given the uncertainty with his health and the fact that he's thrown just 20 1/3 innings since the 2018 season.
