5 years agoNew York Yankees starter Luis Severino has been cleared by doctors to begin his third rehab throwing assignment as he works his way back from a lat injury. He suffered this ailment while rehabbing his shoulder injury that has held him out of action since spring training. There is no firm timetable for his return to the Yankees roster, but it will be at least six weeks until he gets stretched out enough to return as a starter. It remains to be seen how they will utilize their ace from a season ago when he returns if he'll go into the rotation or serve as a long reliever. Moves at the trade deadline could dictate Severino's future as the club will proceed with caution with their young arm.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
