Luis Robert Jr. Resting On Thursday
6 days agoChicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr. will head to the bench for Thursday's series finale against the division-rival Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field. Michael Taylor will start in center field and will bat eighth against Guardians right-hander Gavin Williams. Robert could probably use the day off, as he was hitless in his five plate appearances on Wednesday and has gone just 6-for-39 (.154) with a double, RBI, three steals, three runs scored, five walks and 13 strikeouts in his first 11 games in 2025. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too worried just yet, but hopefully the 27-year-old slugger can begin to pick things up this weekend for a series at home against the visiting Boston Red Sox. Taylor has gone just 3-for-17 in the early going with a homer, two RBI and a stolen base in eight games played. He'll be a weak DFS option, and he's never faced Williams in his career.
