Luis Robert Jr. Benched In Saturday's Game
2 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr. was removed from Saturday's game against the Rays in the second inning due to a managerial decision. It was initially reported that Robert was pulled due to an injury but was removed due to his lack of hustle on a grounder that could have been beaten out for a base hit. Oscar Colas replaced Robert in Saturday's contest. The White Sox are on a nine-game losing streak and well on their way to losing their 10th straight contest, as Chicago is down 10-3 in the seventh inning. Robert has had a slow April, slashing .213/.248/.407 with five home runs, 13 RBI, 14 runs, and a stolen base over 27 games. The 25-year-old might be benched for another game or two, and fantasy managers will need to continue to monitor the situation.
