Luis Robert Jr. Homers Again, Still Lacking RBI
1 year agoChicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert connected on another round-tripper on Saturday night, going deep in the bottom of the sixth inning to help propel Chicago past the Red Sox by a score of 5-4. The home run was Robert's 19th of the season, and while the consistent power is a welcomed sign for fantasy managers, the RBI total of 39 on the season leaves a bit to be desired. Much of that can be attributed to the White Sox owning the 28th-best wOBA in the league to this point, and if Robert can keep up his 40-homer pace, odds are more of them will be with runners on base in the second half of the season. In fact, there's some room for power growth here, as logic suggests the center fielder can decrease his lofty 38.7% ground ball rate while ticking up his mediocre 30.9% hard-hit rate. There's certainly potential for a 50-bomb season in the 25-year-old's future. Along with his 19 homers and 39 RBI, Robert is hitting .262 with 49 runs and four stolen bases.
