Luis Robert Being Held Out On Tuesday
3 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert is getting the day off on Tuesday as the team faces the Chicago Cubs. Adam Engel will be patrolling center field for the game and batting sixth. According to White Sox manager Tony La Russa, Robert's day off is a result of two things. First, La Russa wanted to give Robert a day off after he'd played four straight games. Second, the longtime manager noted that the outfield grass at Wrigley Field was slick, suggesting he didn't want to take any chances with Robert tweaking something. Robert was recently held out of action for about a week due to a groin injury. He's gone 6-for-17 at the plate with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored over four games since his return from the groin injury.
