Luis Rengifo Aggravates Wrist Injury
4 months agoLos Angeles Angels infielder Luis Rengifo (hand, wrist) injured his hand/wrist on a swing in the eighth inning of Wednesday night's loss to the visiting Colorado Rockies and was pulled from the game mid at-bat in favor of outfielder Mickey Moniak. Rengifo had been on the injured list earlier this month with wrist inflammation, so it looks like an aggravation of that injury and could very well send him back to the IL. Before leaving the game, he went 0-for-3 with a strikeout. The 27-year-old did have three hits on Tuesday night, but since returning from the IL on July 23, Rengifo has gone 6-for-30 at the plate with no homers, a double, five RBI, six strikeouts and two stolen bases in seven games. Fantasy managers may want to prepare for another stint on the IL, which would open up playing time at the hot corner for Brandon Drury most likely. Anthony Rendon (back) went back on the IL on Tuesday.
