Luis Perdomo Ejected After Sparking Brawl
7 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Luis Perdomo was ejected after completing just two innings Wednesday against the Colorado Rockies. After outfielder Manuel Margot (ribs) was hit Tuesday night, the Rockies beaned outfielder Hunter Renfroe in the wrist during the second inning. These instigations were enough for Perdomo to throw behind third baseman Nolan Arenado in the third, and Arenado charged the mound. Benches cleared and Perdomo and Arenado were two of five players tossed. Before the melee, Perdomo didn't allow a run but labored and surrendered five hits. With the skirmish aside, Perdomo (4.91 ERA, 2.09 WHIP) is at risk of losing his job if Dinelson Lamet (elbow) gets healthy and rookie Joey Lucchesi continues ascending. There's nothing to see here, fantasy owners.
