Luis Patino Making The Start Wednesday
1 year agoChicago White Sox right-hander Luis Patino is making the start on Wednesday against the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks. Patino will be making his first start in the big leagues and 23rd total in his major-league career. In seven relief appearances for the White Sox and Tampa Bay Rays this year, he's allowed nine runs (eight earned) on 17 hits (three homers) while walking 12 and striking out 15 in 17 innings. The 23-year-old hasn't gone beyond four innings in any of his recent outings and will be a poor fantasy streamer against a strong Arizona lineup on Wednesday's slate. In his four big-league seasons, Patino has a 4.99 ERA (5.37 FIP), 1.50 WHIP, 68 walks and 121 strikeouts in 131 2/3 innings over 43 outings (22 starts).
