Luis Gil Wild In Wednesday's No-Decision
3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Gil struggled in Wednesday's no-decision against the Blue Jays. Gil lasted just 3 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on one hit while walking a whopping seven batters. The righty did strike out six batters, generating an impressive 14 whiffs, but the control issues that plagued him in the minors showed up big time against Toronto. The 23-year-old Gil has obvious strikeout upside, though he'll need to exhibit better control of the strike zone if he wants to stick around in the Yankee rotation. Gil is worth going back to in fantasy circles if given another start by the Yankees, though games like Wednesday's show how risky he can be as a fantasy asset.
