5 months agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Luis Castillo will start Sunday against the Twins in the series finale. With no announced starter for Sunday's game after Bryan Woo was placed on the IL, it was speculated that the Mariners would go with their recent call-up, Jhonathan Diaz. Diaz had made a start earlier this month for the Mariners, but instead, it will be Castillo. The 31-year-old has had a rough go of it lately, with just one quality start in his last four outings, but he did face the Twins once already this season with solid results. The righty went six-and-two-thirds innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on two hits and three walks while striking out seven.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBaller
