Luis Castillo Throws 48 Pitches In Rehab Outing Sunday
3 years agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Luis Castillo (shoulder) made a rehab start at High-A Dayton on Sunday. He pitched 2 1/3 innings and allowed two hits, three walks and one earned run while striking out four. He threw a total of 48 pitches in the outing. This was the first in-game action he'd seen since Spring Training. He will need at least one more outing before being activated for his season debut with the Reds. The 29-year-old had an up-and-down season last year, going 8-16 with a 3.98 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP.
