Luis Castillo Takes Loss Sunday Despite Strong Start
6 years agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Luis Castillo fell to 6-9 on the season after Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Nationals. Castillo allowed two runs on six hits (including a home run) and two walks with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. The 25-year-old has looked excellent in the second half of the season after a very disappointing first half, and now has a 1.53 ERA with 17 strikeouts and four walks in his last three starts. Castillo will look to keep things going in the right direction in his next start Sunday against the Diamondbacks.
